ENGINEERS IN THE MAKING OR CARVING?

When the Leaders Award opens its doors to school to register, we usually have to wait a while until the pupils interview engineers, consider their or the worlds problems and design a solution. Not Alfie and Jack, ahead of the rest of the school they invented the Shoover – a device to suck-up discarded shoes. They annotated the drawing, wrote about it at length, drew all over the envelope and finally carved it into a piece of wood…. admittedly in their enthusiasm they missed adding sufficient stamps – but hats off to the pair of them – engineers in the carving!!

Engineers…. If you think you would like to get involved being interviewed by children and pupils, help us to grade the entries or join us at exhibitions please do let us know. Now I wonder if Primary Whittling Engineer has legs….?
