A NATIONAL STEM COMPETITION
The Leaders Award Competition asks the question “If you were an engineer, what would you do?”. Pupils from the ages of 3-19 are tasked with interviewing an engineer, before identifying a problem in the world around them they want to solve.
This competition is completely FREE for teachers

CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING
Pupils draw their engineering idea, write a letter explaining it, and send it to us for engineering professionals to Grade and Judge. Every pupil that takes part is provided with a named and graded certificate.
Shortlisted entries are displayed at Public Exhibitions across the country and winning pupils, and their families, are invited to Award Ceremonies to celebrate their achievements.
We provide FREEPOST for schools so there is no cost to submit pupils’ entries.

ENGAGEMENT WITH ENGINEERS IN THE CLASSROOM
Teachers are linked with engineers who can come into the classroom to engage with the pupils directly. Teachers also get access to our excusive online Live Interview series where pupils from all over the UK can join to ask leading engineers the questions that matter to them.
Our interview series this year includes astronauts, Lego designers, an interview live from Big Ben and much more.

NATIONAL RECOGNITION AT AWARD CEREMONIES
From May-July each year we host 25 regional Award Ceremonies & Pubic Exhibitions where Winning and Highly Commended pupils are celebrated.
Last year over 3000 pupils ideas were exhibited and over 1500 pupils recognised at our Award Ceremonies.
