Team Proto Scotland update: The University of Strathclyde Engineering Students are well on the way to creating the chosen invention to make for this years Scottish Engineering Leaders Award. If you don\u2019t know already the budding engineers have decided to choose not one but two inventions and are combining both ideas together. Aimee Arndt\u2019s \u2018The Bin Rubbish Squasher\u2019 and Heather Pinder\u2019s \u2018Rubbish Bin Crusher\u2019. The team have already met the young inventors to discuss their ideas.<\/p>\n

Keep up to date with Team Proto University of Strathclyde here https:\/\/leadersaward.com\/team-proto\/<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n University of Southampton: We are excited for you to meet the first team proto team for the South, Marcus, George, Elisavet, Jack and Ahmed a group of Mechanical Engineering Students from the University of Southampton.\u00a0 Their aim is to design and manufacture a fully functional prototype of Bella Hunt\u2019s \u2018Fun Noisy Rubbish Bin\u2019!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This idea was developed by Bella, a Year 3 student, who won the Primary Engineer Leaders Award, in South England, in 2017.\u00a0 The children were given the scenario \u201cIf you were an Engineer \u2013 What would you do?\u201d. Bella inspired by Thierry Pope from MOD, invented the \u201cFun Noisy Rubbish Bin\u201d, a solar-powered, waste bin that travels around playgrounds asking children if they have rubbish. It also makes noises!
